SURF CAMPS THROUGHOUT PERU

Surf Camps are hostels geared to surfers that are located in prime surfing areas. The size and type of surf camp along the Peruvian coast can vary greatly depending on the area and the camp. Most camps provide accommodations plus three delicious meals a day, as well as daily transportation to the local waves. They are a great place to meet other surfers, get a good introduction to the Peruvian surf scene, surf some excellent waves, get surfing lessons and get in shape before heading out on Surfari. They are also a more economical option (compared to Surfaris) for budget-minded travelers.

Our base camp is located in the small surfing town of Punta Hermosa, approximately 40 km south of Lima. This is a very wave-dense area with more than 17 waves within 10 km. The camp is located in a quiet neighbourhood just 300 m from some world-class waves. It is a small, laidback camp and is a great place for chillin' out and relaxing after a  day of surfing.

This surf camp offers rooms for individuals and groups, 3 excellent meals a day (both local and international food), bottled water, a common area inside and a patio with hammocks outside. There are BBQs on the weekend and lots of great people with tons of local knowledge to share.

Nearby waves include: 

Pico alto,  Pacharacas, Senoritas, Caballeros, Playa Norte, el Paso, Punta Hermosa, Puntilla and Kontiki  -  all within walking distance of the camp.

10 minutes away (by bus or car) are Conchan, Arica, el Silencio, Pulpos, La Frontera, Punta Rocas, Explosibles.

20 minutes away; El Huaico, Santa Rosa, Pena Rosa,  Penascal, Los muelles - just to name a few  as there are many, many more.
