meet with
several
world
leaders this
week during
EU-LAC

Alan
García
Perez
will
hold a
series
of
meetings
with
visiting
world
leaders
in the
framework
of the V
European
Union,
Latin
America
and the
Caribbean
(EU-LAC)
Summit.
Hernán
Couturier,
general
coordinator
of the V
EU–LAC
Summit,
mentioned
that
dignitaries
that
will
arrive
in
official
visit to
Peru and
will
meet
with
Alan
García,
are
Brazilian
president
Luiz
Inacio
Lula Da
Silva
and
German
Chancellor
Angela
Merkel.
Polish
Prime
Minister
Donald
Tusk and
the
President
of the
European
Commission
Jose
Manuel
Barroso
will
also
hold
bilateral
meetings
with
Peru’s
García.
Couturier
added
that
García
is
scheduled
to meet
with
other
world
leaders
including
Slovenian
Prime
Minister
Janez
Janša,
Spanish
Prime
Minister
Jose
Rodriguez
Zapatero
and
Mexican
President
Felipe
Calderón.
The
first
García’s
official
meeting
will be
with
José
Manuel
Barroso
who is
to
arrive
in Lima
on
Tuesday
or
Wednesday
this
week.
Polish
PM
Donald
Tusk
will
hold
talks
with
Peru’s
president
on
Wednesday
while
German
Chancellor
Angela
Merkel
and
Slovenian
PM Janez
Janša
will be
received
by
García
on
Thursday
15.
García's
meeting
with
Spain's
Prime
Minister
Jose
Rodriguez
Zapatero
and
Mexico’s
President
Felipe
Calderón
will be
also
held on
Thursday.
Finally,
Peruvian
president
García
and his
Brazilian
counterpart,
Luiz
Inácio
Lula da
Silva,
will
meet on
Saturday
May 17.
