Pasamayo

Location:
North of Lima along the coast, north of Ancon.

Point-break, left and rights, long wave, breaks from ½ meter to 2 meters, tubular wave with the proper conditions, super consistent, always glass.

Sea performance:
Cold water. Average temperature: 18°C, variable current, waves all year around.

Weather:
Changes according to the season.
Average temperature: between 16°C and 27°C.

Access:
North of the town of Ancon, take the road to Pasamayo. Once you arrive at the toll booth, you must leave your car and take a bus. Ask around for help if you're unsure. It's a difficult place to find if you don't know the area.

Centinela Huaral

Location:
152 km north of Lima, near the city of Huaral

Kind of wave:
Point-break, left, long, well formed, breaks from ½ metre to 3 metres, tubular wave with the proper conditions, super consistent.

Sea performance:
Cold water, average temperature 18°C, variable current, waves all the year.

Weather:  
between 15°C and 27°C. Varies depending on the season, very hot in summer.

Access:
152 Km on the highway north of Lima. You must take a 5 km detour to get to the beach.   Services:
There is one hotel in front of the break.

Bermejo Ancash

Location:
223 km north of Lima 

Kind of wave:
Point-break, left, long ,well formed breaks from ½ metre to 3 metres, tubular wave with the proper conditions.

Sea performance:
Cold water. Average temperature: 18°C, variable current, waves all year.

Weather:
Average temperature: between 15°C and 27°C

Access:

At Km 222 on the highway north of Lima, you need to take a 3 km detour in towards the beach.

Services:
There are no services at the break, but the city of Barranca (at Km 194) has all services.

Playa Grande

Location:
336 km  north from Lima - you can see the waves from highway.

Kind of wave:
Reef-break with nice hollow left - it reaches 3 metres, depending on swell, waves all  year.

Sea performance:
Water's usually cold. Average temperature between 22°C and 17°C

Weather:
Average temperature between 15°C and 28°C.

Access:
Take the highway north from Lima to Km 336; take the entrance to the beach; you will see the break from the road.

Services:
No services.

Huanchaco La Libertad

Location:
On the north coast of Peru - in the city of Trujillo. 560 km north of Lima

Sea performance:
Water regularly cold, average temperature between 17°C and 22°C.

Kind of wave:
Reef-break with nice lefts; different peaks, it can reach 0.5 to 3 meters high, variable current depending on swell, waves all year.

Weather:
Average temperature between 15°C and 28°C

Access:
560 km north of Lima -  10 km north of the city of Trujillo.
Buses are available from Lima to Trujillo, there are also flights.

Services:
All services are available in Huanchaco.

Chicama

Location:
North Coast of Peru, in the city of La Libertad -   614 km north of Lima.

Kind of wave:
Point-break, left, considered the longest left wave in the world. Pipeline with 4 sections that reaches 2 metres. You'll find strong winds (offshore) and strong rips.

Sea performance:
Water regularly cold - average temperature between 17°C and 22°C. Strong current, the south and west undulations are the proper ones, waves all year, more frequently in winter.

Weather:
Warm and spring-like, average temperature between 15°C and 28°C. Strong winds

Access:
614 km north of Lima on the main highway you'll arrive at the town of  Paiján. From here take the road to Puerto de Chicama, also know as Puerto Malabrigo. You can get there by car or bus. You can also take a flight from Lima to Trujillo to make the trip quicker.

Poemape

Location:
North Coast of Peru, in the city of La Libertad -  656 km north of Lima.

Kind of wave:
It's a long left and well formed - can reach 3 metres.

Sea performance:
Water regularly cold, average temperature 19°C,  current increases according to the strength of the swell, waves all year.

Weather:
Nice weather all year but changes according to the seasons, average temperature between 15°C and 28°C, warm season between November and March, cold season between April and October.

Access:
656 km north of Lima following the main highway. Take the entrance to the beach - which you'll reach in about 45 minutes.
Services:
None. All of them are located in Pacasmayo, 10 Km to the north.

Pacasmayo La libertad

Location:
North Coast of Peru, in the city of La Libertad - 663 km north of Lima.

Kind of wave:
Point – break. it’s very well-known - often called the train because the wave is very powerful and very long. Left, long and well formed with pipeline section.

Sea performance:
Water regularly cold, average sea temperature is 19°C, strong current

Weather:
Warm and spring-like all the year, temperature between 15°C and 28°C.

Access:
663 km north of Lima along the main highway. Accessible by car or bus.

Bayobar Piura

Location:

On the North Coast of Peru - in the province of Piura - it is also called NUNURA.

Kind of wave:
Reef-break with long lefts; different peaks, it can reach 4 metres high, variable current depending on the swell, waves all year.

Sea performance:
Water regularly cold. Average temperature between 17°C and 22°C

Weather:
Average temperature between 15°C and 28°C - summer all year.

Access:
After traveling to km 896 along the highway north of Lima, take the detour to Bayobar. You'll need a  4x4 truck, equipment, food, etc. It is very difficult to get there but is among  the best waves in Peru - some waves here similar to pipeline, g land, padang padang.

Services:
No services. camping only, no shops, no crowds for miles.

El Golf Talara

Location:

On the North Coast of Peru - in the city of TALARA, province of Piura, 1093 ikm north of Lima

Kind of wave:
Beach-break, perfect all year around, offshore. Left and rights peaks. It gets 2mts high.

Sea performance:
average temperature between 17°C and 21°C.

Weather:
Average temperature between 15°C and 28°C.

Access:
1093 km north of Lima (along the highway) you will arrive at the city of Talara. From the beach take the detour to Negritos. You'll find a long coast of peaks. Ask around for help. There are buses to Piura from Lima, as well as flights.

Baterias Talara

Location:
On the North Coast of Peru - close to Talara and Lobitos - 1102 km north of Lima along the main highway

Reef-break with nice lefts; perfect barrels, it can reach 2.5 metres high, variable current depending on the swell, waves all year.

Sea performance:
average temperature between 17°C and 22°C.

Weather:
Average temperature between 15°C and 28°C.

Access:
Take the highway north of Lima to Km 1102. Take the detour to Lobitos. You'll have to ask for permission to get to Lobitos. From there drive south a few minutes to get to Baterias. Buses  and flights from Lima to Piura are available

El Hueco

Location:
1102 km north of Lima in the province of Piura.

Kind of wave:
Reef-break and hollow lefts; it can reach 2mts. high, variable currentdepending on swell, waves all year.

Weather:
Average temperature between 15°C and 28°C.

Access:
After reach km 1102, on the highway north of Lima, take the detour to Lobitos. You'll have to ask for permission to enter. It is next to Lobitos.

Lobitos

Location:
1102 km north of Lima in the province of Piura.

Reef-break with sand and long lefts; it can reach 2mts high, variable current depending on swell, waves all year.

Access:
After reach km 1102, on the highway north of Lima, take the detour to Lobitos. You'll have to ask for permission to enter.

Piscinas

Location:
1102 km north of Lima in the province of Piura.

Reef-break with sand and long lefts; it can reach 2mts high, variable curren depending on swell, waves all year.

Weather:
Average temperature between 28°C and 15°C.

Access:
After reach km 1102, on the highway north of Lima, take the detour to Lobitos. You'll have to ask for permission to enter. It is on the north side of Lobitos.

Panic Point

Location:
North coast of Peru, city of Piura  - km 1137 on the highway north of Lima. It's south of  Cabo Blanco.

Kind of wave:
Reef-break, strong left, well formed pipeline, can reach the 3 metres. Not recommended for beginners.

Sea performance:
Better conditions between October and January. Best waves with north highs.
Average temperatures: between 28.2°C and 24.4°C.

Weather:
Tropical and dry. Good weather all year. The average temperature is between 16°C and 35°C. Light rains in February to September.

Access:
Take the highway north of Lima to Km 1137. Here you'll find the town of El Alto. From there take the asphalted road to Cabo Blanco (7 km). You can also reach this area by first taking a flight to Piura, if you're in a rush.

Services:
None. The nearest ones are in Cabo Blanco and Talara.

Cabo Blanco

Location:
North coast of Peru, city of Piura  - km 1137 on the highway north of Lima.

Kind of wave:
Reef-break, perfect left pipeline from 1 to 3 metres, dangerous reef nearby.
Not recommended for beginners.

Sea performance:
Better conditions between October and January. Best waves with north hemisphere highs.
Average temperature: between 28°C and 24.4°C.

Weather:
Tropical and dry. Good weather all year. Average temperature: between 16°C and 35°C. Light rains from February to September.

Access:
Take the highway north of Lima to Km 1137. Here you'll find the town of El Alto. From there take the asphalted road to Cabo Blanco (7 km).
You  can also get flights to Talara (nearest airport).

This is a fishing town with basic lodging and food.

EL Ñuro

Location:
1146 km north of Lima - in Piura

Kind of wave:
Reef-break with sand and long lefts; it can reach 2mts high, variable current depending on swell, waves all year.

Sea performance:
temperature between 17°C and 22°C.

Weather:
Average temperature between 28°C and 15°C.

Access:
After reaching km 1146 on the highway, take the detour to El Ñuro. Follow the track to the south after get detour.

Organos

Location:
1153 km north of Lima - in Piura

Kind of wave:
Reef-break, left, tubular. Well formed, reaches 2 metres.

Sea performance:
Good conditions allyear, Average temperature: between 28.2°C and 24°C

Weather:
Tropical and dry, good weather allyear, average temperature between 32°C and 19.4°C.
Light rains from February to September.

Access:
Take the bus or a car north on the highway. It is easily accessible and is serviced by several buses a day.
You also can flights to Talara (nearest airport).

Mancora

Location:
1164 north of Lima along the main highway. 171 km from the city of Piura.

Kind of wave:
Reef-break, long, left formed, can reach more than 2 metres.

Sea performance:
Good conditions all year and average temperature: between 28.2°C and 24.4°C, variable current according to swell strength.

Weather:
Tropical and dry. Good weather all year and average temperature between 36.2°C and 17°C. Light rains in February to September.

Access:
Take the bus or a car north on the highway. It is easily accessible and is serviced by several buses a day.
You also can flights to Talara, Piura and Tumbes (nearest airport).

Services:

Mancora has become a real tourist destination in recent years (both for nationals and foreigners), although it is still quite small. It has all necessary tourist services and can get very busy during the Peruvian summer months (December to March).

Peña redonda

Location:
North Coast of Peru - 60 km north of Mancora

Kind of wave:
Beach breaks. Left and right peaks; can reach 2mt high, variable current depending on swell. There are times when it's totally flat.

Sea performance:
temperature between 28°C and 24°C.

Weather:
Average temperature between 28°C and 15°C.

Access:
Drive 60 km north from Mancora, you will get to a big white sandy beach. It is called El Rubio.
